At Reformation Culture Church, our faith is historic, biblical, apostolic, and centered entirely in Jesus Christ.
We believe Christianity is more than a set of ideas to affirm. It is a life to be lived, a Kingdom to embody, and a Gospel that transforms the whole person. We are committed to the authority of Scripture, the Lordship of Jesus Christ, the present work of the Holy Spirit, and the mission of the Church in the world.
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the final authority for Christian faith, doctrine, and practice.
Scripture reveals the nature and character of God, tells the story of redemption, points us to Jesus Christ, and instructs us in how to live as His people.
We do not believe Scripture exists merely to provide inspirational thoughts. It forms our theology, confronts our assumptions, renews our minds, and shapes our lives. Although we believe in the authority of Scripture, we also believe that the Spirit of God is still speaking today.
We believe there is one God.
He is eternal, sovereign, holy, loving, all-powerful, all-knowing, and present everywhere. He is the Creator of all things and exists before, beyond, and independent of creation.
The one God has revealed Himself throughout Scripture as Father in creation, in the Son for our redemption, and through the Holy Spirit in His activity within and among His people.
There is one indivisible God whose fullness is revealed in Jesus Christ.
We believe Jesus Christ is God revealed in flesh.
He is not merely a prophet, moral teacher, or extraordinary human being. Jesus is Emmanuel, God with us.
The eternal God entered human history through the incarnation. Jesus Christ is fully God and was genuinely human. As the Son of God, He is God’s manifestation in humanity; as the Son of Man, He fully participates in the human condition.
In Him, the invisible God became visible.
Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived without sin, died for our sins, was buried, rose bodily from the dead, ascended, and reigns as Lord.
There is salvation in no other name.
We believe the Gospel is the good news of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Humanity was alienated from God through sin, but God acted decisively in Christ to reconcile the world to Himself.
At the cross, Jesus defeated the powers of sin and death, bore our sins, accomplished reconciliation, and inaugurated a new covenant.
His resurrection is God’s declaration that death has been defeated and new creation has begun.
The Gospel is not principally about becoming a better person. It is the announcement that Jesus is Lord and that through Him sinners can be forgiven, reconciled, transformed, and brought into the life of God’s Kingdom.
We believe salvation is by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ.
No person can earn salvation through morality, religious performance, good works, titles, church attendance, or human effort.
Grace is God’s initiative toward humanity.
Our response to the Gospel includes faith, repentance, water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ, and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit.
These are not religious rituals designed to earn God’s favor. They are our biblical participation in and response to the saving work of Christ.
We believe repentance is a grace-enabled turning of the heart toward God.
Biblical repentance is deeper than regret, shame, or emotional remorse. It is a change of mind, allegiance, direction, and life produced through God’s gracious work within us.
Repentance does not simply turn us away from sin; it turns us toward Christ.
We believe in baptism by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ.
Baptism identifies the believer with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. It is an expression of faith, obedience, covenant identity, and union with Christ.
The apostles consistently baptized believers in the name of Jesus Christ, and we continue that apostolic pattern.
We believe the Holy Spirit is God present and active within His people.
The baptism of the Holy Spirit is a New Testament promise available to believers today. The Spirit regenerates, empowers, sanctifies, teaches, guides, comforts, convicts, transforms, and equips us for Kingdom life and ministry.
We believe the supernatural manifestations of the Holy Spirit described in Scripture remain active in the Church.
We do not believe the Book of Acts describes a supernatural Church that God later intended to become powerless.
We believe spiritual gifts are active and necessary for the life and mission of the Church.
God still speaks, heals, delivers, gives wisdom, reveals knowledge, works miracles, and empowers His people through the Holy Spirit.
We embrace prophecy, healing, miracles, tongues, interpretation, discernment, and the full operation of the gifts described in Scripture.
At the same time, supernatural ministry must remain submitted to Scripture, accountable to healthy spiritual authority, centered on Jesus, and expressed through love.
The gifts are not given to make people impressive. They are given to reveal Christ, strengthen the Church, and serve people.
We believe the Church is the Body of Christ and the community of God’s people on mission in the world.
The Church is not simply a weekly gathering, building, denomination, or religious institution. It is a Spirit-filled people called to embody the life, character, authority, and mission of Jesus Christ.
Every believer has value, purpose, spiritual gifts, and a place within the Body.
We believe healthy churches equip people for ministry rather than creating spectators.
We believe Christ continues to equip His Church through the ministry gifts described in Ephesians 4.
Apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers exist for the equipping of believers, the building of the Church, and the maturation of the Body of Christ.
These ministries are not titles for personal prestige. They are functions of service, responsibility, sacrifice, and Kingdom stewardship.
We believe apostolic and prophetic ministry remain relevant to the Church today.
We believe grace does not merely forgive us; grace transforms us and equips us.
The Holy Spirit produces an increasingly Christlike life within the believer. Holiness is not legalism, religious performance, or an attempt to earn salvation. It is the fruit of belonging to God.
Our character, relationships, sexuality, speech, finances, integrity, priorities, and treatment of others should increasingly reflect the Lordship of Jesus.
We believe spiritual maturity should produce both supernatural power and Christlike character.
We believe Jesus still heals and delivers.
Throughout His earthly ministry, Jesus healed the sick, liberated the oppressed, and demonstrated the authority of God’s Kingdom. The early Church continued that ministry through the power of the Holy Spirit.
We believe that as Jesus gave the disciples power to cast out demons, that same power is among us today and we actively deploy it.
We pray boldly for healing while maintaining compassion, wisdom, and integrity. We reject manipulation, spectacle, and shame.
We also recognize that God works through prayer, community, medical care, counseling, and other legitimate means of healing and restoration.
We believe every human being bears the image of God and therefore possesses inherent dignity and worth.
Because of this, the Church must care about justice, mercy, compassion, truth, reconciliation, and the treatment of vulnerable people.
We reject racism, exploitation, abuse, dehumanization, partiality, and systems that treat human beings as disposable.
The Gospel reconciles us not only to God but creates a new community in which old barriers of superiority and exclusion lose their authority.
We believe marriage is a sacred covenant established by God and biblically expressed through the union of one man and one woman.
Marriage should reflect covenant faithfulness, mutual honor, sacrificial love, truth, safety, fidelity, and the character of Christ.
We believe families should be places of nurture rather than domination, formation rather than fear, and love rather than dysfunction disguised as spirituality.
Where relationships have experienced pain, trauma, divorce, failure, or brokenness, we believe in the redemptive and restorative grace of God.
We believe Jesus came announcing and demonstrating the Kingdom of God.
The Kingdom is God’s rule and reign breaking into the world through Christ.
As followers of Jesus, we are called to live under that reign now bringing truth where there is deception, healing where there is brokenness, justice where there is oppression, hope where there is despair, and light where there is darkness.
We do not exist simply to prepare people to leave the earth. We are called to represent Heaven while we are here.
We believe Jesus Christ will return.
History is moving toward the ultimate triumph of Christ, the resurrection of the dead, final judgment, and the complete restoration of God’s creation.
Our hope is not rooted in fear, speculation, or endless predictions about dates. Our hope is in Jesus Christ.
Because He is coming, we live faithfully, worship passionately, serve courageously, love deeply, and participate in His mission now.
We can summarize what we believe in one confession: Jesus Christ is Lord.
He is the image of the invisible God, the fullness of God revealed bodily, the Savior of the world, the Head of the Church, the victorious King, and the name above every name.
Everything we preach, practice, pursue, and become must ultimately lead us back to Him.
“For in Him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”
Colossians 2:9
